Paul is the Chairman and Chief Investment Officer for Global Currents Investment Management. Prior to transitioning to GCIM, Paul had spent 20 years at Brandywine Global Investment Management as Global Equity CIO and Managing Director and has 25 years of industry experience. Before joining Brandywine, Paul was with Provident Capital Management, Inc. as Assistant Vice President and Portfolio Manager (1984-1988), and with First Pennsylvania Bank as a Securities Analyst (1983-1984). Paul earned a B.S. degree in Finance and Quantitative Analysis from La Salle University, graduating Cum Laude. Paul is a member of the Firm's Executive Committee and is also involved with a number of community organizations such as the Wilmington Friends School, Special Olympics, the Brandywine Conservancy, and the Cato Institute.

President and CEO

Mike is the President and CEO of Global Currents and is responsible for overseeing and administering business management for the firm. Mike was previously with another Legg Mason affiliate, Brandywine Global Investment Management, as Managing Director (2005-2008) for the firm's International and Global Value Equity portfolios, bringing with him 25 years of industry experience. Previously, Mike was an executive in the hedge fund of fund industry (2002-2005), served as the National Director of Smith Barney's Consulting Group (1996-2002), and worked as an institutional investment consultant for more than 12 years. He holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) designation and earned a B.B.A. from Loyola University of Chicago.

Lisa A. Lenza

Chief Operating Officer

Ms. Lenza serves as Chief Operating Officer for Global Currents Investment Management, LLC after nearly 21 years with U. S. Trust Company in New York. Ms. Lenza was most recently Managing Director of U.S. Trust and Director of the Financial Institutions Group whose focus was the distribution of U.S. Trust investment strategies in separately managed accounts and proprietary mutual funds through financial intermediaries. Prior to that, Ms. Lenza led the institutional relationship management and client service teams serving endowments, foundations, public funds, Taft-Hartley and corporate clients. Before joining the institutional group in 2002, Ms. Lenza served as the Chief Administrative Officer and Chair of the Operating Committee for the Campbell, Cowperthwait, the large cap growth investment division of U.S. Trust. Ms. Lenza joined Campbell, Cowperthwait directly from UST Securities, the broker/dealer affiliate of U.S. Trust, where, in addition to serving as a member of the Operating Committee, her responsibilities also included management of client services focused specifically on institutional relationships. Prior to her role at UST Securities, Ms. Lenza worked in the Asset Management Division from 1987 to 1995 in progressive managerial roles including oversight of the Division's Project Management and Client Service groups focused on high net worth clients. Ms. Lenza earned a B.B.A. degree from Pace University in New York.

Joseph J. McNerney

Joseph J. McNerney

Chief Compliance Officer

Joe McNerney manages the legal and compliance departments at Global Currents. He also has oversight of Human Resources. Joe has a diverse background that includes more than 20 years of litigation experience and has spent most of the last decade in the investment management industry. In addition to his experience with the regulatory and compliance landscape, he has made significant contributions to the education and development of consultants, investment professionals, fiduciary officers, trust advisors, financial planners, lawyers and executives. He comes to Global Currents after working in management positions at Smith Barney and JPMorgan.

Joe received his J.D. from the John Marshall law School. He is a faculty member of the National Institute for Trial Advocacy and was trained as an instructor at the Harvard Law School. He also served for more than 10 years as an Adjunct Professor at the Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology.

Michael Coolahan, CIMA®, AIF®

Director of Marketing & Product Management

Mike Coolahan is responsible for marketing and product management and directly supports the International and Global Equity business at Global Currents. He also covers key client relationships as a senior relationship professional. He has extensive experience in investment consulting and asset management sales, marketing and communications -- most recently at UBS Financial Services -- where he was Investment Solutions Director for the major market New York Region. Mike was previously with Citigroup/Smith Barney or one of its affiliates over a ten-year period involving a variety of responsibilities including sales director and global marketing manager. Mike gained valuable experience in investment consulting to both institutional and high net worth clients, with a focus on creating investment policy, selecting high-quality investment managers, and evaluating the performance of those managers over time. He also managed a team of marketing professionals and was responsible for the development and implementation of marketing strategies, public relations, advertising, and communications. He began his career in financial services at AXA Financial as a financial planner assisting high-net-worth investors in developing investment strategies.

Mike received a B.A. in Accounting from Rutgers University and earned a M.B.A. in Finance from Drexel University. He was awarded a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) certification from the Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA®) in 2002 and the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) designation in 2007 from the Center for Fiduciary Studies. He currently is pursuing the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA®) designation from the CAIA Association and is also a NASD Registered Principal and NYSE Supervisory Analyst.

Head Trader

Mary Pinck is the head trader at Global Currents. Previously, Mary Pinck served in a similar capacity with Brandywine Global starting in 1999, bringing with her 17 years of industry experience. Earlier in her career, she was with RIMCO as head equity trader (1990-1998), and Legg Mason Wood Walker as a broker assistant (1988-1990). Mary Pinck earned a B.A. in Economics from Randolph-Macon Woman's College.

Ibrahim N. Kagundu

Ibrahim N. Kagundu

Global Operations Manager

Ibrahim N. Kagundu is the Global Operations Manager at Global Currents. He is responsible for new account processing, trade processing, daily and month end account reconciliation, trade settlement issues, foreign exchange transactions, and myriad additional operational responsibilities. Previously, Ibrahim served in a similar capacity for Brandywine Global since 2006. Prior to Brandywine, he served as a senior investment accountant and other positions at PNC Financial Services since 2003. He earned a BA in commerce at Daystar University, Nairobi, Kenya as well as a MSc in Economic Development from Eastern University, St. Davids, PA. Ibrahim also contributes his time to developmental work in the areas of health, education, and micro financing with PACE Ministries — a non-governmental organization aimed at supporting the less privileged in Kenya.
