Paul is the Managing Director, Head of Global Equity of Global Equity for Global Currents Investment Management. Prior to transitioning to GCIM, Paul had spent 20 years at Brandywine Global Investment Management as Global Equity CIO and Managing Director and has 25 years of industry experience. Before joining Brandywine, Paul was with Provident Capital Management, Inc. as Assistant Vice President and Portfolio Manager (1984-1988), and with First Pennsylvania Bank as a Securities Analyst (1983-1984). Paul earned a B.S. degree in Finance and Quantitative Analysis from La Salle University, graduating Cum Laude. Paul is a member of the Firm's Executive Committee and is also involved with a number of community organizations such as the Wilmington Friends School, Special Olympics, the Brandywine Conservancy, and the Cato Institute.

Sean is a managing director and portfolio manager on the International and Global Value Equity team at Global Currents. As a member of the team, Sean is responsible for covering Industrials/Cyclicals, Energy and Utilities sectors. Sean has been a full time member of the firm for 13 years, but began his career at Brandywine Global as a Research Assistant in the summer of 1990. Sean is a Chartered Financial Analyst and earned a B.S. in Finance from the University of Colorado, graduating Cum Laude. Sean is also a member of the Avon Grove Foundation.

Managing Director, Portfolio Manager

Safa is a managing director and portfolio manager with the International and Global Value Equity team at Global Currents. As a member of the investment team, Safa is responsible for covering the Healthcare and Consumer sectors in addition to his role as a Global Portfolio Manager. Prior to transitioning to Global Currents, Safa had been a member of the predecessor firm, Brandywine Global, for 3 years and has 22 years of investment experience. Prior to joining Brandywine Global, he was with Goldman Sachs Asset Management as a Senior Portfolio Manager for Global and International Fundamental Equities (2001-2004); The Virginia Retirement System as Director of International Investments (1999-2001); CalPERS as an Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager (1997-1999); State of California as an Auditor (1996-1997); Safa R. Muhtaseb Real Estate Investments as the Principal and Broker (1990-1996), and Al-Othman & Al-Muhtaseb Trading Co. W.L.L. as an Investment Officer (1984-1990). Safa is a Chartered Financial Analyst and earned a M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Tennessee and graduated Cum Laude with a B.S. in Business Administration from Old Dominion University.

George F. Foley

George F. Foley

Managing Director, Portfolio Manager

George F. Foley is a portfolio manager with the International and Global Value Equity team at Global Currents. He is responsible for covering the financial, energy and utilities sectors. Previously, George was a portfolio manager at Glenmede Trust Company where he managed the Glenmede Large Cap Value Fund and the Glenmede Core Value product. At Glenmede, George focused on managing separate accounts for the Company's large institutional clients and also provided investment advice for the company's pension, foundation, and insurance company clients. Previously, he had been executive vice president and institutional portfolio manager for Walnut Asset Management in Philadelphia; managing partner and chief investment officer in a private partnership; and, worked four years at SEI Corp. Mr. Foley received his B.S. in finance from LaSalle University and an MBA in finance from Drexel University. Mr. Foley is a member of the CFA Institute and The Financial Analysts of Philadelphia.

Elisa Mazen

Elisa Mazen

Managing Director, Portfolio Manager

Elisa is a managing director and portfolio manager with the International and Global Value Equity team at Global Currents Investment Management, LLC. As a member of the investment team, Elisa is responsible for covering the Consumer sectors in addition to her role as a Global Portfolio Manager. She joins Global Currents after a successful 13 year tenure with Oppenheimer Capital. At Oppenheimer, a division of Allianz Global Investors, Elisa was a Managing Director and head of international and global equity investments for 8 years. She was also Executive Vice President and Portfolio Manager for the Central European Value Fund, and numerous other funds at the firm. Elisa has extensive experience with institutional and high net worth clients. Prior to Oppenheimer, she was a portfolio manager at Clemente Capital Inc. managing public pension fund assets. She began her career at Mitchell Hutchins Asset Management, now a subsidiary of UBS, in the High Yield investments area.

Ms. Mazen received her B.A. in economics and finance from Douglass College, Rutgers University and serves as a member of the Douglass College Investment Committee.

Mike is the Managing Director, Global Head of ESG of Global Currents and is responsible for overseeing and administering business management for the firm. Mike was previously with another Legg Mason affiliate, Brandywine Global Investment Management, as Managing Director (2005-2008) for the firm's International and Global Value Equity portfolios, bringing with him 25 years of industry experience. Previously, Mike was an executive in the hedge fund of fund industry (2002-2005), served as the National Director of Smith Barney's Consulting Group (1996-2002), and worked as an institutional investment consultant for more than 12 years. He holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) designation and earned a B.B.A. from Loyola University of Chicago.

Brad Conger, CFA

Director, Research Analyst

Brad provides research support for our International and Global Value Equity products at Global Currents and is responsible for coverage of the consumer sector. He had joined Brandywine Global in 2007, bringing with him 18 years of industry experience. Prior to Brandywine he served as managing member of Narragansett Overseas Management, LLC, where he was the sole portfolio manager of the firm's $90 million long/short European equities portfolio (2003-2006). Brad was also with HBK/Cimarron Global Investors as managing member (2000-2002); AIM Management as vice president, portfolio manager (1997-2000); Goldman Sachs as vice president, European equity research sales (1993-1997), and the First Boston Corporation as a financial analyst in the asset backed securities group (1989-1991). A CFA charterholder, he earned his M.B.A. in Finance and Investment management from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration and his B.A. in Economics from the University of North Carolina. Brad is fluent in German and French.

Grace provides research support for the International and Global Value Equity portfolios at Global Currents. She is responsible for coverage of the technology sector. Grace was previously with another Legg Mason affiliate, Brandywine Global Investment Management, as Global Equity Analyst (2005 - 2008). Previously, she was with Bear, Stearns & Co. as an equity research assistant (2001 - 2003), and with Mitchell Madison Group as a business analyst (2000 - 2001). Grace earned an M.B.A. in Finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a B.S. in Business from the Haas School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley.

Peter provides research support for Global Currents' International and Global Value Equity products, most importantly in regards to stock idea generation. Pete was with another Legg Mason affiliate, Brandywine Global Investment Management for 5 years and has 8 years of industry experience. Prior to joining Brandywine Global as an Associate in the Marketing and Client Service Department in 2001, he was an Analyst for Merrill Lynch Bank USA (2000) and a Financial Analyst for MBNA (1997-2000). Pete earned a M.B.A. from Drexel University and a B.A. in Financial Management from the Catholic University of America.

Sergey provides research support for our International and Global Value Equity portfolios at Global Currents. He is responsible for coverage of the global financial sector. Sergey joined the firm in 2008. Previously, he was at Fenician Capital Management in London, United Kingdom as a partner/senior analyst (2006-2007) and with Oppenheimer Capital in New York, NY as a senior analyst with portfolio management responsibilities (2001-2006). Sergey started his career first as an analyst and later as a co-manager of the International Equity Fund with the Wisconsin Investment Board (1998-2001). He earned a BA in Finance from the University of Wisconsin.

Pawel Wroblewski, CFA

Pawel provides research support for our International and Global Value Equity portfolios at Global Currents. He is responsible for coverage of the consumer sector. Pawel joined the firm in September of 2008 after a successful eight-year tenure at Oppenheimer Capital. At Oppenheimer, a division of Allianz Global Investors, Pawel was a Senior Vice President and Equity Research Analyst focused on telecom service, industrial, utility, technology and basic material companies. He also coordinated the Global Portfolio Construction team and advised portfolio managers on sector, country and currency allocations. Prior to Oppenheimer, Pawel held research positions at CA-IB Securities and Credit Suisse First Boston, focusing on emerging markets. He started his career as auditor for Deloitte & Touche. Pawel is a chartered financial analyst and earned a Executive MBA from Columbia University and a Master in Finance from the Warsaw School of Economics.
